People take illegal drugs and use alcohol because they have an effect on their brain which they enjoy or which provides relief from problems, however, these drug work by changing the chemicals in our brains, and this can have dramatic side-effects, often leading to long-term mental health problems. All drugs can affect our mental health, however, Cannabis and Alcohol are the most widely used and can lead to the most problems.
